The Bluff is a five-piece band from Nashville, TN with a classic rock sound and a jam band mentality. Comprised of session players, songwriters, and touring sidemen, the members of The Bluff have played with artists ranging from Old Crow Medicine Show, Alison Krauss, Jack Pearson and Jerry Douglas to George Strait, Jo Dee Messina, and Ashley Monroe, among many others.
They strive to create an energetic and unpredictable live show from a vast assortment of originals, crowd-pleasing covers and deep cuts of groups like The Band, Phish, Tom Petty, Grateful Dead, Little Feat, Allman Brothers, Talking Heads, Paul Simon, Steely Dan, Doobie Brothers, Bob Marley and the Rolling Stones. We had such a blast at Acme Feed & Seed in Nashville hosting an All-Star Jam after the first night of Phish at Ascend Amphitheater. Special guests included the incredible Maggie Rose, Wes Bailey from Moon Taxi, Larry Longpump, Allen Thompson, Matt Walberg, Joey Fletcher, and Evan Cobb on saxophone.
The Harpeth Conservancy threw a killer party for their big River Swing fundraiser this year, and we were honored to get to play it, especially alongside the great JoJo Hermann from Widespread Panic.
